Breeding season 2009 started off with cold weather, freezing temperatures at night. Expectations were not high for the first round. Still we have 5 healthy growing youngsters from the first round. Pictures are there to prove it. |

|
Second round gave us 13 fertile eggs from 8 pairs, 12 hatched, we lost 3 young chicks for various reasons, the other 9 are alive and well as the pictures show you |

| Third round | ||
|
Third round gave us 10 healthy youngesters from 12 fertile eggs of 7 pairs, feeders do a great job, plenty of eggs, so the Holle eggs can be transfered once more |

| Fourth round | ||
|
Fourth round. 12 youngsters from 16 eggs. Some crossings that give opportunities to breed even more colourings next year. Offcourse is the form of the birds is good enough!! |

Last rounds were to our satisfaction. 2009 gave us 53 banded youngsters from 82 eggs in total. Not a bad score for Holle Croppers! |
