Our Breeding History Until 2003

We started breeding the Holle Cropper in 1995, though we were not new to the game. In the past there was experience with the racing pigeons(what a learning traject that is!!), English Modena, Dutch Helmets, Old Dutch Tumblers, Nuns, Brunner Croppers, Dutch Highfliers, Trumpeteers etc. Also there have been tropical birds like Love Birds, Zebra Finches and Gould's Amadines.

Just Kidding

In 1995 the first Holle's in our lofts were self whites, rapidly followed by the blue barred and blue grizzled. Lots of colours were tried out, to build up experience. At the moment the main course is the blue barred, blue grizzled and self blacks.

Other colours we tried out and showed: andalusian, black tigered, ash red barred, ash red grizzled, ash yellow barred, recessive blue barred, recessive blue grizzled, black pied. Probably forgot a few...
